Corkscrew After Hours: Living with Panthers

February 7, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Experience our world-famous boardwalk in the stunning moonlight. During our special After Hours events, the Sanctuary’s Blair Audubon Center and 2.25 mile boardwalk stay open until 9 p.m. In addition to special educational programs and interpretive exhibits, there will be live music, art on display, and beautiful gifts for sale in our nature store. February’s event will focus on the Florida Panther.

There are between 100 and 160 Florida Panthers left in the wild.
Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is well-known for providing habitat for these elusive felines. The Florida Panther is an umbrella species; by protecting them, we protect a multitude of other animals and plants such as Bobcats, Florida Black Bears, White-Tailed Deer, turkey, and much, much more.

Additionally, by protecting the lands these cats roam we are protecting our watersheds, which are vital for humans as well as wildlife. Learn more about co-existing with panthers at the 6pm presentation in the Blair Center classroom before you enjoy your evening on the boardwalk.
