43rd Annual Great Dock Canoe Race
May 11, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Join us on Saturday, May 11th for the 43rd Annual Great Dock Canoe Race at the The Dock at Crayton Cove!
This year’s theme is “Heroes and Villains”. The Naples Junior Chamber “Jaycees” will host this traditional Naples event for a third consecutive year with the support of Vin DePasquale, event founder and owner of The Dock at Crayton Cove and Riverwalk at Tin City. The Jaycees have selected local nonprofit organization Collier County 4-H Association as this year’s charity beneficiary to help them continue their work for children in our community. Newly introduced this year, the Naples Jaycees will offer free entry into the Theme Canoe Race for any one team representing registered nonprofit organizations in Collier County.
Event registration is LIVE NOW at www.greatdockcanoerace.com. This family-friendly annual event will feature canoe and paddleboard races, food and drink vendors, a VIP tent for event sponsors, children’s activities, and live musical entertainment throughout the afternoon. Event and sponsorship information is available online at www.greatdockcanoerace.com.
“The Naples Jaycees are honored to once again host the Great Dock Canoe Race,” said Matthew Flores, Committee Chair. “The 42nd Annual Great Dock Canoe Race introduced a number of new activities to keep the whole family engaged throughout the day. We look forward to continuing to expand on that this year. This will be a fun and exciting event for all ages to enjoy.”
The Great Dock Canoe Race brings thousands of community members and spectators together by both land and bay to watch competitors participate in canoe and paddleboard races. Each year, the event has a theme, which serves as the inspiration for the decorated canoes and paddleboards competing for the best-dressed prize.
The 43rd Annual Great Dock Canoe Race Committee consists of Naples Jaycees Immediate Past President Matthew Flores as Chair; Catherine Chase; Meredith Curley; William Diaz-Garcia II; James Dick; Bryan Flores; Taylor Flores; Charles Johnson; Allison Keevan; Ronald Kezeske; Kenny Main; Kenneth Mundy; Christopher O’Brien; and Liz Brown.
